Don't deprive yourself!
This is one of the fastest ways to lose your motivation to achieve a healthy body. Minimize those carb cravings by choosing healthy fat sources instead. Great choices that will keep you satisfied include avocados, coconut milk or oil, dark chocolate, and almonds. Mix up that fitness routine! I don't know about you but I can only take so much treadmill before I am bored out of my mind. If you are feeling challenged to keep up that fitness routine make it less routine. Add variety to your workouts by trying yoga, biking, or hiking outdoors. The change up environments and even the time of day to stay engaged. Measure up! I am not a fan of jumping on the scale everyday but once a week is a good idea to keep you on track. Weekly weigh-ins help you to evaluate if you're treating your body to the right foods and movement. Don't make the scale your enemy and be gentle on yourself too. Remember that it is okay to move slowly towards that healthier weight. |
